What is Sunoma?

Sunoma is a cultural experience club rooted in Montenegro, shaping place-led experiences through music, movement, silence and art.

Sunoma unfolds through distinct weeks and places, each with its own people, practice and energy.

Explore the experience

Some places are better felt together

Sunoma makes room for a different kind of day: one with time to arrive, move, listen, meet people and let the pace shift. Sometimes that happens in the water. Sometimes around a shared table. Sometimes on a dancefloor after dark.

Music, movement, silence and art can open a room, settle a room, bring strangers closer or leave enough quiet for people to hear themselves again.

It changes with the people and the place

By the sea, but not only.

The coast is part of Sunoma’s world, alongside quieter bays, old stone, pine and mountain air. What matters is how a place feels once people are in it together.

A season with room to change.

Some gatherings are open. Others stay small or grow from an existing relationship. Dates appear when there is something real to invite people into.

Places chosen for the moment.

Sunoma has a creative base in Budva, then works with the particular character of the places each gathering calls for.

No two chapters are alike.

A familiar rhythm runs through the work, but the people, place and reason for gathering decide what each chapter becomes.

The place changes the day

The Adriatic coast, quieter bays, old stone, pine, open water and mountain air sit close together here. Each brings its own pace. Sunoma chooses the place that suits the people gathering and lets it do some of the work.

Arrive. Move. Listen. Gather. Release. Return.

A day does not need to be over-planned to feel held. These are the moments Sunoma comes back to, in different orders and with different emphasis.

  • Arrive: A clear welcome and enough time to land in the place.
  • Move: The body changes the quality of attention—through a walk, a practice, water, breath or a simple shift of pace.
  • Listen: Music, silence and the natural texture of a place can each create a different kind of presence.
  • Gather: A shared table, a room, a conversation or a moment of expression brings people into relation.
  • Release: Space to dance, rest, make, disappear into the view or let a moment remain unrecorded.
  • Return: The experience ends with something that stays: a memory, a new connection, a question or a changed way of seeing the place.

Come for an experience. Stay for what follows.

You might meet Sunoma at a gathering, through a friend, with an idea for a project or as part of a community that already has its own pull.

  • Experiences: open, intimate and relationship-led gatherings shaped around a particular chapter, practice or place.
  • Friends of Sunoma: a free relationship for people who want to stay close to dates and invitations.
  • Sunoma Projects: selected retreats, place activations, brand and cultural moments, and celebrations.
  • Partnerships: shared chapters with people, practices, venues and communities with a point of view worth gathering around.

Sunoma Experience Studio

In Budva, Sunoma has a place to work from: to meet, make plans, listen to music, test ideas and prepare what comes next. Visits are by appointment.

The Studio is a working home for the club. The gatherings themselves can happen wherever the people and the place make sense together.
